Sword Tapping bug/crash

If the Sword tapping animation is set to fewer than 7 frames, a variety of issues happen.
Case 1: The Hero and Sword sprites both have 2 frames (Link's Awakening style animation) and are both set to loop. In this case when the hero initiates the tapping state, he will become stuck in this state and continue tapping forever.
Case 2: The Hero and Sword both have 2 frames, and the Sword is not set to loop and the Hero is set to loop. In this case the game crashes after one tap as it can no longer find the tapping animation for the Sword's sprite.
In both cases, the duration of the animation did not appear to matter, as I had set them both to 300ms, (which is longer than the LttP animation in total duration). The issue went away upon padding the animation to 7 frames.
