Chat on the left pane starts shaking in Firefox 108.0.2 (64-bit)

Environment

• Soapbox version: v3.1.0-c2e2c59d
• Backend (Mastodon, Pleroma, etc): Rebased
• Browser/OS: Firefox 108.0.2 (64-bit)

Bug description

Steps to reproduce.

1. Click Chats on the left pane.
2. Select a message. Soapbox interface starts shaking.

Note: This happens intermittently.

Does not happen:

• in the Chats popup on the bottom right.
• in Chromium based browsers.
