I want to leave behind software that remains useful even when I'm no longer here.
For that, my philosophy is:
- Owned: always let users retain access to what they bought.
- Stable: favor stable releases over constant changes.
- Deliberate: only include what proves to be valuable.
- Focused: serve one specific audience exceptionally well.
- Extensible: provide simple primitives users can build upon.
- Honest: offer a fair one-time purchase with free updates.
- Faithful: remain true to the original purpose.
- Hackable: open-source reusable foundations.
- Iterative: prefer to evolve through frequent, small, focused updates.
- Independent: avoid dependencies on external resources.
- Cumulative: build something today that will help you tomorrow.
- Beloved: design memorable user experiences.
You can find my current work on GitLab and the App Store. Legacy projects can be found on GitHub.
