In selection wizard, make SDMX query field editable and check for existence of dataset/dataflow
As Samuel,
I want to be able to edit the dataset/dataflow code in a table connected to a previous dataset/flow which doesn't exist anymore,
So that I do not have the following error message when opening the Excel file and I do not have to recreate the table from scratch for each vintage of a dataflow (2021 >> 2022) or each country, as I have many of such tables.
Functional specification
-
Don't check for dataset/dataflow existence when opening an Excel file -
Don't disable the add-in menu for "change selection" when the dataset/dataflow doesn't exist anymore -
Allow opening the "change selection" dialog even when the dataset/dataflow doesn't exist anymore -
Make the data query field editable -
Make a check for the existence of the dataset/dataflow before going to step 2 of the selection wizard. Don't allow going to step 2 (disable the 'Next step' button) until the dataset selection is ok. -
If the the dataset/dataflow doesn't exist then also show an error message 'Error: The dataset <dataset/flow ID> doesn't exist. Please update the selection.' (in up to 2 vertically centered lines) to notify the user in step 1, when 'Next step' is disabled, that the query doesn't match any reference in the data source.
-------------------ORIGINAL REQUEST ------------>
Here is the error dialogue box that appears in .stat DLM when a dataset is no longer in existence and replaced by another vintage (2021 >> 2022)
Currently it's not possible to edit the query (change selection) when this problem occurs. All DLM queries of the Excel file cannot be refreshed because of this error (attached is the Excel file with the error)
Is it possible to allow changes of the query when an error appears ?COL_raw_complete_data.xlsx (sheet Ancillary data
)
