Share snapshot data with warning message for authenticated users
As Marco,
When authenticated and requesting to share a snapshot of data previewed in the DE,
I want to be warned that those data will be publicly accessible even though potentially not yet officially and publicly released,
So that I am aware of the action I undertake and am responsible for it.
Functional specifications
- When Authenticated only (*), and clicking on the DE 'Share' action, I should see, at the end of the snapshot option a warning icon (same as for incomplete data views) with a tooltip message displayed on mouse-over. It should happen only when the current underlying dataflow is not publicly accessible.
- The English
en
message is "Sharing a snapshot will make the selected data publicly accessible, even though the underlying data has potentially not been publicly released." - If I am not authenticated (*), then the warning icon and related message is not displayed.
(*) Additional note
- The underlying data space is actually being accessed in authenticated mode.
- Ideally if technically feasible -when in authenticated mode-, once the share feature is displayed (without the warning) -so that the user can already start reading it-, the DE should also check if the current dataflow is publicly accessible. This could be done by an additional, anonymous, unfiltered (csv) data request with range "0-0" (representing the fastest possible data request type). Only if the response is "unauthorised" then the warning message is displayed. In this case, the warning message should rather be: "Sharing a snapshot will make the selected data publicly accessible, even though the underlying data has not been publicly released.". If the dataflow data can also be accessed publicly then the warning message is not displayed.
