The new design will be based on the UI guidelines available here Some mockups are also available here. They give a general view of the integration of multiple components used in the data explorer.
What will be change:
- the fonts
- the colors: a specific meaning for font and background colors.
- Search page:
- more space for the results
- options: Label and Sort
- Label: code, name or both can be applied on the result page
- Sort: Relevance, Alphabetical, Last updated date
- the display of each result contains the name of the dataflow, the 2 first lines of the description followed by the dimensions (concepts) of the dataflow. On the right you can expand to display the dataflow details and you have also the possibility to directly download the dataflow.
- Facets column
- Used filters area
- Frequency and Time period are managed in the same area of the filters column.
For more frequencies, cf the filters blocks in the UI guidelines mentioned above. - Scopelist method is used to manage the items of the filters. For hierarchical codelist, the UI documentation details the UI behaviour in Filters blocks, there is a part named "scopelist"
- Used filters area
- Visualisation page
- the home header
to avoid going back to the homepage, an homeheader is displayed on the top of the pages (search page or visualisation page).
