Change display of "Applied filters" in Search result page
As Jens,
I want to see the 'Applied filters' area moved out of the facet column to the top of the search results and its menu bar and is always opened,
So that it becomes more visible even when the user makes new selections in a facet, and so that the user journey is as much as possible consistent again with the Viz page.
Functional Specifications
This ticket complements the implementation of #907 (closed), which was limited to the Viz page.
-
For Applied filters
use the styles and layout already used in the Viz page, incl. the default height and the accordion behaviour -
As currently, the number of results is shown above the thick grey line. It can happen that this number is positioned at the same vertical page position than some applied filter items. -
Use sufficient empty space between Applied filters
as well as[x] results
with the applied filter items (see green box in picture below). Note that both localisedApplied filters
and localised[x] results
must push away the filter items in case they need more space.
-
In reduced (responsive) mode, the [x] results
moves right toApplied filters
with the same space in-between than indicated above with green box:
-
The menu buttons (currently only Sort
but later alsoLabel
and others) are positioned below the thick grey line and are separated from the search results through a light line, similarly to the menu on the Viz page. -
When there are no filters selected (when only using the text search) and the Applied filters
are hidden, then[x] results
is still displayed above the grey line like this:
