This is most definitely a break from the pm2-axon practice, but we'll assume it.

Converserly, the pm2-axon changes break existing code such as `most.fromEvent(sub)`, which is what we need.

This reverts commit 94ea42ab.

This means keepalives most definitely break the existing semantics.

This might be a breaking change for some people.

This hinges on whether Node.js actually does anything at the TCP level for
zero-bytes content.
