Superflous steps before wiping a device
What's the rationale behind directing users to [attempt deleting their browsing history on a device they are about to cryptographically wipe](https://gitlab.com/securityinabox/securityinabox.gitlab.io/-/tree/f463b1d2547574bf0c601f1408327b45cd7bc0d7/src/files/destroy-sensitive-information#all-devices)? Is this step necessary? Similarly, is disconnecting the Internet, and physically doing so necessary? Performing a factory reset on an encrypted mobile devices renders all the previous content of its permeant memory practically non-existent, and involves a restart of the device. For laptops and desktop computers, the recommendation already is to do it by booting an external OS or self-booting tool. So shutting down applications and disconnecting the internet is also irrelevant.
