Double encryption?

Under "Back up to cloud services using your device's built-in tools" in

Backups are uploaded to Google servers and are encrypted with your Google Account password. For some data, your screen lock PIN, pattern, or password is also used to encrypt your data.

It would be better if "also" is removed, as it implies that the data is encrypted twice, unless that's what is meant, I have no idea!
