Essential or extra encryption?
In the section "[](https://gitlab.com/securityinabox/securityinabox.gitlab.io/-/tree/f463b1d2547574bf0c601f1408327b45cd7bc0d7/src/files/secure-fileConsider encrypting your external storage devices-storage#consider-encrypting-your-external-storage-devices)", we read:
On desktops and laptops, your device may have built-in encryption options for external storage devices. Alternatively, you can use VeraCrypt to activate this additional layer of protection.
But it's somewhat confusing because VeraCrypt is presented as an alternative method to encrypt external storage devices when the system lacks support for that. However, encryption using VeraCrypt is also described as an "extra" layer of protection, which assumes the existence of a base layer.
I suggest wording the last sentence as "Alternatively, you can use VeraCrypt to encrypt external devices"
