We are planning three initial outputs for The Secure Investigation Framework for Tails (SIFT) project. All material will be published under an open-source license or through Creative Commons:

1. **User interface:** An intuitive commandline interface to manage the non-default application and system configurations needed to make a curated set of free and open-source (FOSS) investigative tools work safely and reliably on Tails: firewall rules, VPN tunnels over Tor, version managers for coding libraries like `nvm` and `anaconda`, babysitter scripts, user alerts, etc. Initially, this collection of software should include at least one tool in each major "stage" of a typical data-heavy investigation: finding, obtaining, verifying, cleaning, analyzing, storing, sharing and visualizing data.
