The output file LOSS all the already created outlines of original input files !
Hi. There is a great shortage in your nice application: suppose that I have 2 or 3 or more books (or chapters of different books) & each of them has it's nice already created outlines.
Currently, the output file which result from combining original files, will be WITHOUT any of outlines ! This mean user will loss the outlines of each of original PDF files. This will be great loss specially when you deal with scientific books containing many topics .....
Please correct this. QPDF by default should save the metadata (outlines - index) of original files. Only when you use it with "--empty" flag ......
I suggest on you the following:
add in the UI for each added file, an option to "Import outlines" & make it enabled by default because most users will prefer to not loss them. However, users should be able to chose to disable this option (use --empty flag) if they wish.
change your new option "Outline entry" into "Create outline entry" & keep it editable as it is currently.
make the 2 options: "Import outlines" & "Create outline entry", one of them will deactivate the 2nd if it is enabled. The user should use only one of them not both. If user enable "import outlines" then "Create outline entry" should be inactive (disabled) & if enabled "Create outline entry" then "Import outlines" should be inactive (disabled).
