What is the meaning of the `name` argument for quiddities?
Summary
According to this breaking changes, the get_name
methods are removed for a better management of the quiddity ids. Consequently, the quiddities have no more name
attributes in order to use the nickname
concerning everything about quiddity labeling.
So, why this: https://gitlab.com/sat-metalab/switcher/-/blob/develop/wrappers/python/pyquiddity.cpp#L588
Is this a way to improve the id? (which is a number now, and it was really better to debug when it used to be a string...)
Is this the default nickname? (If yes, why this parameter is not called nickname?)
Why I have no getter for this name? The method sw.list_ids
seems to provide this names but why this is ids?
How to reproduce ?
Trying to use this API.
Expected behavior
More consistancy.
What is the frequency of occurrence of this behavior ?
Every time.
Other comment
I am not sure if this is a bug or a feature request but I want to start a discussion that will lint the pyquid
API after the breaking changes on the get_name
method.
