Config file for undetected scanners

Sometimes, a scanner can be used by specifying its URL, but is not automatically detected. It can happen with third-party back-ends, for example hpaio, because it relies on CUPS to detect scanners and CUPS may not be running (relying on HP to fix this would probably be a waste of time).

Unfortunately while these scanners are 100% usable, they will not appear in GUI applications.

I think the SANE library should include a config file to force probing scanners by URL. Maybe /etc/sane.d/url.conf a contents that could look like this:

scanner hpaio:/net/deskjet_3050a_j611_series?ip=10.0.1.155
scanner hpaio:/net/Photosmart_2570_series?ip=10.0.0.32
