Even when installed with the proper procedure from SAMSUNG in Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS (Bionic Beaver) the scanner C480W from Samsung is not found. After adding it in the xerox_mfp.conf file with parameter : vendor=0x044e8 and product=0x347e the scanner was detected and worked well for me.
