Source tarball does not include older ChangeLogs

The ChangeLog file included in the source tarball states, at the bottom:

Older ChangeLog entries can be found in the ChangeLogs/ directory on a
file per release basis.  Please note that 1.0.26 was never released.

The source tarball, however, does not include this directory (since 1.0.27). The git repository still does, though.

Either the source tarball includes the directory or the bit at the bottom gets changed to be correct.

Personally, I'm leaning towards nuking (most of) the directory from the git repository and simply generate a ChangeLog during the source tarball build from the git commit messages. Yes, I realize that that may differ from what's below ChangeLogs/.
