Part of an effort to implement JeanBaptiste Priez's external Combinatorial Hopf Algebra package into the Sage source code, began by the author in ticket #13793, and now being broken up into smaller component tickets. This ticket adds a class for being 'connected' to the category of graded Hopf algebras with basis. #16453 provides a Cython version of quiver paths. The purpose of this ticket is to introduce a Cython implementation of path algebra elements. Note that the arithmetic appears to be faster than the current default implementation of free associative algebras. So, it might make sense to use (the more general) path algebras to become the default for free associative algebras. The next step shall be to implement computation of Gröbner bases. minimal generating sets and minimal projective resolutions for modules over path algebras, with a noncommutative F5 algorithm. Beside LittlewoodRichardson coefficient calculations and fusion products, Anders Buch's lrcalc C library implements quantum products, using the rimhook rewriting rule (this corresponds to cup products in the cohomology of quantum Grassmanian variety). The latter functionality needs to be exposed in Sage's interface to lrcalc. Roadmap: Change mult to accept a "quantum" argument: {{{ def mult(part1, part2, maxrows=None, level=None, quantum=None): """ ...  ``quantum``  an element of a ring ... Looking at <lrcalc>src/mult.c one would just need to call the quantum_reduce function function on the result of lrcalc's {{{mult_c}}}.
