Introduction

This project hosts some of the analysis for the Community-based Climate-responsive Livelihoods and Forestry (CCLF) GEF-LCDF Project Document Development. This is part of the work done in the capacity of International Consultant (Project Design Specialist and PPG Team Leader) for UNDP.

The scripts analyse and report Socioeconomic and Biophysical data and climate trends for Afghanistan, focusing on the provinces of Paktya, Kunar, Ghazni and Samangan, where the project is proposed.

Each set of analysis is accompanied by a short README file. There will be a lag between this document and corresponding scripts. In most cases, scripts under revision/preparation will not be documented.

The scripts are based on code snippets and examples from a host of sites, particularly StackOverflow. I’ve provided relevant links in the comments. The work is shared here under the GPL3.

Pradeep Koulgi is the original author of most of the Google Earth Engine scripts (also acknowledged in the file’s header), many of which have been altered significantly. His work is also hosted on his GitHub page.
