Country with negative area

Dear RESTCountries development team,

Thank you for providing public access to your REST API. I am writing this email to report a possible data inconsistency that I detected while using the “list of codes” operation (https://restcountries.com/#endpoints-list-of-codes). More specifically, the API response (attached: api_response.txt) obtained when fetching information from “Svalbard and Jan Mayen” (cca3 country code: SJM) using, for example the API request GET https://restcountries.com/v3.1/alpha?codes=SJM specifies that this region has a negative area (-1.0). Is this a data inconsistency?
