iso 639-1: Why do I receive "bar" as language in country "AT" instead of "deu" or even better "de"
I call: https://restcountries.com/v3.1/all?fields=cca2,languages and for "AT" Austria I receive: "languages":{"bar":"Austro-Bavarian German"}
"AT" in terms of languages should be similar to "DE" Germany but there it is as expected: "languages":{"deu":"German"}}
I actually need the 639-1 two letter code and baverian should be treated as german so just "de"
Proposal: I want to call: https://restcountries.com/v3.1/all?fields=cca2,languages_6391 to simply receive "de" instead of "deu" and "bar"
I'm quite stuck on this because e.g. pycountry python package does not include many of the 3 letter languages that you list. bavarian "bar" for example is also not listed on wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_639-1_codes
