Created VM Play button doesn't do anything

I made my XP PRO image and set the boot to CDROM in the boot order and press play but it clicks briefly then nothing happens. No error log. I don't know command line so am not even going to touch that nasty mess!!! Any work arounds? PS: Why does it think this topic is spam? Something I said?
