Various record/replay avocado tests hang when run under gitlab CI

Host environment

• Architecture: x86_64

• QEMU version: f614acb7
• QEMU command line:

   ./pyvenv/bin/avocado run tests/avocado/replay_kernel.py
   ./pyvenv/bin/avocado run tests/avocado/replay_linux.py

Description of problem

While previous fixes have gone in including #2010 (closed) and #2013 (closed) we are still seeing hangs on CI. Some examples:
