Delete issue with emacs 28.1
I upgraded to emacs 28.1
and byte-compiled every package with the both following procedures I had in my config
When you switch emacs major release, you should byte-compile every package or sometimes reinstall them all
so run
M-: (byte-recompile-directory package-user-dir nil 'force)
or
M-x package-reinstall-all-activated-packages
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/24725778/how-to-rebuild-elpa-packages-after-upgrade-of-emacs/40272361#40272361
#+BEGIN_SRC emacs-lisp
(defun package-reinstall-all-activated-packages ()
"Refresh and reinstall all activated packages."
(interactive)
(package-refresh-contents)
(dolist (package-name package-activated-list)
(when (package-installed-p package-name)
(unless (ignore-errors ;some packages may fail to install
(package-reinstall package-name))
(warn "Package %s failed to reinstall" package-name)))))
I see no warning or message, no echos
to reproduce the issue
activate python-mode
type a character
try to delete it, it stays there.
activate mark, go back, delete, it works.
