Improve the Wikipedia article on OA
Reading the Wikipedia article on OA https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_access I get the impression that many of the issues that have been discussed here (advantages of OA vs. subscription, profit margins, existence of community run journals,...) are not even mentioned there.
Obviously a Wikipedia article must be unbiased and I know that the community as strong opinions in what content is suitable for an encyclopedia and what not, so any proposals for edits of the Wikipedia page should be done carefully and by someone who knows the writen and unwritten rules of the wiki community.
Are there any people here who have experience with editing Wikipedia and would be willing to try to distill some of the discussions we are having here into a few sentences suitable for insertion into the Wikipedia article on OA?
In the long run, a lot can probably be gained by educating the scientific community and general public about the current problems in science publishing. The Wikipedia article is probably the first source of information on the topic for many many people.
