Initialization of user options

Hi Prot,

I'm not sure what's going on, but checking the new release I opened the customize-group to get an overview, and I see the following (note the "State" of the variables and corresponding messages: "you should not see this"):

I've also tried with emacs -Q plus loading just modus-themes.el with same results.
