22.03 release checklist

This issue tracks the checklist ahead of the 22.03 release. All points should be marked as complete, or removed, by the official release date.

We can use the comments below as an avenue for discussing the status of the checklist and with links to any relevant merge requests or dependent issues.

When a new item is considered important/necessary for the release, feel free to add it to the list below.

When an existing item is considered done, feel free to update this description and mark it as checked (completed).

Release Checklist:

• API/feature freeze by 03/18/2022 (Beta status)
• Create EMCO 22.03 release test plan - test /examples/
• Execute EMCO 22.03 release test plan
• Release-related update and call for additional tasks at the TSC (03/29/2022)
• Validate status of Aarna's 3 items for 22.03
• Code freeze by 03/25/2022 (RC status)
• Additional monitor documentation
• Manual license scan
• Validate emco-gui integration
• Add/update all release notes
• Release notes should mention that existing EMCO users using L1 should migrate to 22.03 in order to resolve private key CSR issue
• Update all documentation to match release
• Update/re-triage all issues and MRs to be moved to 22.06+
• Trigger formal release
