RFE: sysctl: support "-" prefix for sysctl assignments, for ignoring failure
In systemd upstream we apply sysctl settings at boot, and for that read /etc/sysctl.d/*.conf and /etc/sysctl.conf. We recently began working on adding a new feature to that, slightly extending the configuration file syntax: assignments prefixed with a "-" line will not cause the tool to fail.
Now, if I m correctly informed procps-ng's sysctl binary currently doesn't read /etc/sysctl.d/*.conf at all, but only /etc/sysctl.conf, so as long as noone uses the new "-" syntax there, we should be fine. However, I think it would be a really good idea if the configuration file format implemented by the sysctl tool and in systemd would stay somewhat in sync. Hence this request: please consider adding support for this slight extension of the configuration file.
(supporting /etc/sysctl.d/*.conf would make sense too I guess, but that's for another RFE issue I figure).
