wpa_supplicant not falling back to second driver wrapper (N900: always configure wext in wpa_supplicant)
@montvid pointed out in Matrix/IRC that wpa_supplicant on his device would fail to start with the current driver wrapper config in postmarketos-base
: -Dwext,nl80211
. Setting the order to -Dnl80211,wext
works for him, but it fails for me on my N900 (which needs wext
), so clearly wpa_supplicant isn't actually falling back to the second wrapper.
According to wpa_supplicant's manpage, it should fall back to the second wrapper in the list if it fails to initialize the device using the first. This may be a bug in wpa_supplicant, but I haven't dug into the source. Just reporting here for now so folks are aware!
