PinePhone stops charging when going to sleep; resumes charging when woken up
Describe your issue
If charging when put to sleep, the PinePhone will stop charging after 10 minutes (almost exactly). It should keep charging, but instead it stops (PinePower shows 0.0 A going into the phone).
This was not happening in the past. It likely started after the last postmarketos-release-upgrade
, upgrading to v23.12.
What's the expected behaviour?
The PinePhone should keep charging until battery full, as long as power is provided on its USB port.
What's the current behaviour?
PinePhone starts charging when connected to a power source (e.g. PinePower), then disconnects after 10 minutes.
How to reproduce your issue?
- Connect the PinePhone to a power source (e.g PinePower). It will start charging (PinePower displays 1.4 - 1.2 A).
- Briefly press the power button, to put the phone to sleep (NOT TO TURN OFF).
- The PinePhone keeps charging for 10 minutes, then stops abruptly, remaining asleep (PinePower displays 0.0 A).
- Briefly press the power button to wake the phone up. It will resume charging after less than 5 seconds (PinePower displays 1.4 - 1.2 A again).
