latest updates bricks pinephone
last time a bad update just caused the phone to disconnect etc, time before that zapped the battery in about 2 hours....
this latest one wipes the internal storage so it won't mount when you reboot - sticks at "login:" forever...and also prevents the keyboard showing, my password has letters too so no way to login....no internal storage = no OS = no SSH....
Luckily I keep an older working image on an sd card and it boots fine - I had to wipe the internal storage and re-image it from the sd card backup. sudo dd if=/dev/mmcblk0 bs=4096 count=30310399 conv=sync, noerror of=/dev/mmcblk2
request: can you guys please at least check that your updates don't brick the phone, I don't need bells and whistles but a phone that can boot and make calls whilst holding enough charge to last 1 day is sufficient. when it works it's great and I don't miss Android....I can no longer risk installing your updates though (you obviously don't do QA/QC before publication) Most of the updates are good but there's at least one releaser that obviously does not check before publishing.
I prefer postmarketos but if you guys keep releasing broken updates I'll need to find a replacement OS with experienced developers....
