Validating Nexus ebuilds
I noticed that mod authors tend to remove old versions once they release a new one. This is particularly annoying when dealing with mods which give you no redistribution rights. The only solution is to keep the ebuilds always up to date, but this is particularly challenging because there is no way to know if a tarball got deleted, except for manually going through each and every mod. So I'm starting to think that adding support for Premium accounts on Nexusmods could be the way to go, because checking those ebuilds would be as easy as deleting the cache and re-emerging @world
: once you'll get a 404 you'll know it's time to fix the repo.
I would be willing to buy a lifetime Premium and share my account with you if you think it's worth adding support for it, so it would be easier to avoid broken ebuilds.
