Need design for lasercut toolbox

As we produce more construction kits, there's a need for a lasercut toolbox custom designed to hold all the elements.

  • They should be visible from the outside (top?) of the box, as the current Stanley Fatmax box allows (clear acrylic top?)
  • It should hold and organize enough elements for 24 kids at a time (working in pairs), which amounts to:
    • 6 crank chargers
    • 12 power packs, 12 solarengines
    • 24 .5watt stackable solar panels
    • approx. 48 xt30 patch cables
    • dooter
    • hulbånd
  • Rugged enough to last a few years (perhaps made from >3mm plywood?)
  • Space for Playing with the Sun Logo and URL (playingwiththesun.org) to be prominently visible
    • Consider text / QR code to the effect of "You can build this yourself, instructions here: (QR)
  • Open source, reproducible, as easy to make as is possible given the requirements.

Current favorite toolbox design is the Stanley Fatmax assortment box: image

What if we did something like this, but using large glass mason jars around the perimeter to hold the smaller components? Gorgeous, but probably not practical! Still it might be worth really making a statement about open source, sustainable materials - and a different approach than most ed tech products? image

But something like this is much more practical: image
