plastimatch crop array-indexing question
Hi,
I am somewhat new to the field of medical imaging, and I am definitely new to using plastimatch
for some of the medical image processing tasks. I have begun using plastimatch
for conversion from DICOM series and DICOM RT Structure Sets to NRRD format images and label maps for research purposes. In addition, I am interested in using the crop feature in order to extract rectangular subregions from within an image volume to create a bounding box around a ROI.
So my question is this: in order to provide the x-min, x-max, y-min, y-max, z-min, and z-max coordinate pairs to plastimatch crop
to form the bounding box, don't I need to know which "corner" of the volume the array-indexing begins from? In other words, isn't it important to know which corner of the volume corresponds to the [x,y,z] coordinate of [0,0,0]?
For extra context, let's assume I got the ROI centroid coordinates (in voxels) from Slicer, and I want to use these as the basis for forming the centre of the bounding box. How can I be sure that the array-indexing is consistent between Slicer and plastimatch
?
Thanks you in advance for your help.
