The first beta release of PikaTrack is now out. The app is still limited in features and a little bit buggy. If you could report any issues you have to the issue tracker that would be very helpful.
Using the website is fairly simple, sign up here and then in the nav bar you will see an option to upload an activity. Currently the only supported method for this is a GPX file. Any app or device that can record gps and save as gpx will work. In the future we will have a mobile app made for this.
When uploading an activity it is recommended to set it to private if there are any sensitive locations in your recording. In the future there will be an option to automatically remove parts of your activity log that start or end at a sensitive location.
After uploading you will be redirected to the activity page where you can see the statistics of your activity as well as the option to create sections.
Sections are small parts of road or track that you create from your activity. For example you can create a section for a road and every time you travel along that road PikaTrack will automatically match you activity with that section and show you a split time for that part. Sections are public so keep that in mind when creating one.
In the future you will be able to compare your times for sections and see a history of changes.
