Problem with removed attribute in product model
Copied from: #148 (comment 251498974)
I ran a little experiment:
- Login, remove price reference from Product's family.
- Notice that a Product (model) had the Price Reference Attribute, but that it was greyed out (un-editable).
- If I tried to change anything in the Product, and click save, I'd get an error, including one that says
Attribute "price_reference" does not belong to the family "RH_PRODUCTS_TRADEITEMS_VARIANTS"
So I went to http://demo.akeneo.com and ran the same experiment and found:
- If I ran it on a Product (not model, or variant), the field was still there with a small
x
that allowed me to remove it - which is what this issue suggests is correct: https://github.com/akeneo/pim-community-dev/issues/7906- If I ran it on a Product Model, I get the same error - looks to me like an Akeneo bug.
Next steps
- I'd like to keep to the Akeneo behavior for now - leave the attribute.
- I'd like you to run the same experiment I have above, and if you find the same result, I'd like to raise the issue as a potential bug (for models) in Akeneo.
