Bad thumbnail names when media_thumb_size == album_thumb_size
The problem is partially fixed with this patch:
--- a/scanner/CachePath.py +++ b/scanner/CachePath.py @@ -125,7 +125,7 @@ def photo_cache_name(photo, size, thumb_type="", mobile_bigger=False): photo_suffix += "s" elif thumb_type == "fit": photo_suffix += "f" - if size == Options.config['media_thumb_size']: + elif size == Options.config['media_thumb_size']: photo_suffix += "t" if thumb_type == "square": photo_suffix += "s"
However, this is probably not really going to work because it would end up writing only an album thumbnail and never a media thumbnail.
I believe a proper solution would involve changing the thumbnail semantics from indexing from type (i.e., media or album) to indexing by attribute (e.g., size, aspect ratio, etc.) This would allow using a single thumbnail for each image to reduce space requirements rather than multiple thumbnails for each image (this was my original goal in setting the two thumbnail sizes the same).
