deploying Jekyll on gitlab
Hi gitlab team,
I am having big time troubles deploying my jekyll page on gitlab pages. Evrything used to work fine...but now deploying are failing, and no logs send on the email. deploying time are in the 30 minutes order, what it seems crazy to me. Anyone can tell me if that amount of time for deploying is normal??
this is my ci:
requiring the environment of Ruby 2.3.x
image: ruby:2.3
add bundle cache to 'vendor' for speeding up builds
cache: paths: - vendor/
before_script:
- bundle install --path vendor
the 'pages' job will deploy and build your site to the 'public' path
pages: stage: deploy script: - bundle exec jekyll build -d public/ artifacts: paths: - public only: - home # this job will affect only the 'home' branch
and this my gemfile: source "https://rubygems.org" ruby RUBY_VERSION
Hello! This is where you manage which Jekyll version is used to run.
When you want to use a different version, change it below, save the
bundle install
. Run Jekyll with bundle exec
, like so:
file and run bundle exec jekyll serve
This will help ensure the proper Jekyll version is running.
Happy Jekylling!
gem "jekyll", "3.4.4"
This is the default theme for new Jekyll sites. You may change this to anything you like.
gem "minima", "~> 2.0" gem 'jekyll-multiple-languages-plugin' gem "rb-fsevent", "~> 0.9.8"
If you want to use GitHub Pages, remove the "gem "jekyll"" above and
bundle update github-pages
.
uncomment the line below. To upgrade, run gem "github-pages", group: :jekyll_plugins
If you have any plugins, put them here!
group :jekyll_plugins do gem "jekyll-feed", "~> 0.6" end
Windows does not include zoneinfo files, so bundle the tzinfo-data gem
gem 'tzinfo-data', platforms: [:mingw, :mswin, :x64_mingw, :jruby]
i been trying solutions i found on the we like creating a new public folder and move evrything there...this did not worked for me. whats is really frustating is that is seems the pipeline failure random...I t may be deployed, and after change some trivial html, or css...I am not sure what would happen next time I am about to deploy.
I need help and any information is super appreciate. Thanks Jordi
