Organization of this repo and the development effort
After discussion with @Conan_Kudo and @MCMic, we decided to restart the development of Lugaru and move it to git (better known, so with more potential to attract new developers) and an open source repository manager (GitLab CE - currently using the commercial hosting gitlab.com, but moving to a self-hosted or libre hosting solution would always be easy).
The main motivation for reviving the development is a positive feedback from David Rosen about relicensing all Lugaru HD assets under CC-BY-SA 3.0 Unported, thus making the game fully free/libre. David also seems open to basing the commercial version (Humble Store, Steam) upon this open source repository once it shows that it's performing at least as well as the current commercial builds (main things to fix right now would be a SDL2 port and ensuring that our version builds and runs on OSX and Windows).
The purpose of this issue is to freely discuss our objectives, how we want to organize the development workflow, who would like to partake in the effort (including potentially David Rosen and Ryan C. Gordon if they are interested). A first step could be to contact all developers who have worked on Lugaru in the past and whose email address we have and link them to this repo and this issue, so that we can gather forces.
