Single-server install script installs MariaDB on top of an existing MySQL installation and erases existing local nginx conf
Expected Behavior
Either:
- The install docs warn not to install on a machine with pre-existing mysql or local nginx setups.
- The install script checks for existing installations and at least prompts whether to overwrite or exit.
Current Behavior
MariaDB was installed, redirecting the system's mysql command to itself rather than my existing MySQL 8. My existing /usr/local/nginx/conf/nginx.conf was overwritten, and presumably other elements of my local nginx install were too.
Your Environment
- Version used: Current git clone as of 4/30/2024
- Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS on a VPS
