Autoloot works while dead when killing a MVP.
When killing an MVP - if the MVP kills you but you manage to kill the MVP with damage dealt after you died (example Storm gust has delayed damage) the dead player not only receives the MVP award + EXP, but also receives all its drops from @autoloot.
Steps to Reproduce
1.Go kill Eddga with a wizard
2.Use Storm Gust but let Eddga kill you on the last Storm Gust
3.Get loot while dead
When killing an MVP after you have already died (with no other players on the map), the @autoloot function gives all drops to the dead player in addition to the MVP awards.
It is impossible to gain EXP or pick up items while dead. The MVP award is supposed to go to the next highest damage dealt/damage taken player if the original killer is dead.
If there is another player on the map but they have 0 damage dealt and 0 damage taken, they are given the MVP award even if they are across the map. In this situation the MVPS drops are dropped to the floor.
If there are 2 or more people on the map when the MVP dies, the MVP award is given randomly to any of the players excluding the dead player, the MVPs drops are dropped to the floor.
If there is no one else on the map when the MVP dies the award is given to no one and the drops from the MVP are dropped to the floor.
The initial person who hit the MVP first has a given amount of time to pick up the items before other people are eligible to pick them up. MVP item ownership is supposed to work the same as normal monsters (Example, in a world with no @autoloot, if someone hits a poring first and someone else kills it, the first player who hit it has around 5 seconds to pick up the loot before it becomes available to others.)
Since there is no @autoloot on iRO we can not cross reference this behavior. The only reason I realized this bug was from previous servers mechanics. The MVP page on the iRO wiki classic page mentions: "Because of the difficulty with which MVP's are defeated, they give a high amount of experience and MVP rewards given directly to the player's inventory to the player who has the most damage interaction with it."
This does not mention if the player is dead but since there is no @autoloot the drops would fall to the ground anyways. It is supposed to be impossible to receive items and exp from monsters if you kill them after you have died.
Because the IRO wiki classic page has not been updated since-> "This page was last modified on 16 January 2014, at 01:46." - at the time of this submission it is lacking information like most Wiki Classic pages. If we turn to the renewal iRO page it includes the same starting paragraph word for word but expands on the mechanics of item drops.
"If the player get killed as the MVP dies, and there's no one else eligible for the reward on the map, someone is randomly selected on the map and receives it. They are also free-for-all, meaning that anyone can attack them, disregarding who found it first or summoned it. First hit on the MVP is only important for loot priority, not the MVP reward."
Now yes, this is a renewal page, but from personal experience on pre-renewal servers with @autoloot, they follow this exact mechanic. The only reason this is not mentioned on the Classic page is because no one has cared to update it. (Renewal page has been updated in 2018 at the time of this submission).
