Change "Mob of the Day" to "Map of the Day"
Currently, we have the Mob of the Day which randomly chooses a monster and makes it give double exp for a day. I suggest that we change this to Map of the Day, which all the monsters in a given map will give double exp for a day.
Almost everytime we get a Mob of the Day that either has a considerable number of spawns or is relatively dominant in at least one given map, the players flock that map and parties are naturally formed. Although, this does not happen very often since only a few mobs comply with the two aforementioned constraints.
As you can see, the Mob of the Day is fulfilling its purpose, which is, I assume, to bring the players together; although this does not happen as often because of what was stated in the previous paragraph.
Having a Map of the Day would, most likely, make a certain map an attractive leveling spot. It would eliminate the downside of the Mob of the Day since it could potentially choose a mob that, for instance, spawns in many different maps but only a few in each of them.
I am aware that the system has some rules when choosing a Mob of the Day, such as the amount of experience a mob provides, the spawn amount and so on. That was something essential for the system and made it even better. It is also something that could also be applied onto the Map of the Day (it could blacklist some maps).
Unfortunately, those rules do not seem to be enough make the Mob of the Day a perfect system. Although the Map of the Day will not be a perfect system, I believe it is an improvement and will more likely bring the players together and further encourage parties.
