Drop Rate Penalty for Dual Client \ Solo MVP'er
If you dual client (or solo) to MVP (exclude mini boss), you get reduced drop rate chance (no change to experience gain on kill)
- To discourage and make harder for a few players from solo farming MVP like a daily routine "exercise" and easily get rich by selling huge piles of MVP loots (quite a bit of MVP drops are unique that cannot be or much harder to obtain elsewhere)
- Also to discourage Asura Strike MVP farm (if the majority of the class cannot solo MVP, why would a monk \ champ with Asura Strike is an exception? [not saying other classes cannot solo MVP, but they do definitely at much lesser degree comparing to Asura monk \ champ])
- To combat MVP drops flooding server (look at those vending Ring and Zephyrus... etc + whatever extra inventories sitting in these farmer's storage)
Asura MVP farming & dual client solo MVP farming had always been a weird and imbalance thing for RO private servers (if I recall right, in the past official server had subscription fee on account, thus discouraged dual client in the first place), My understanding of MVPs are a boss that is designed to be take on by a party for its unique valuable drops reward, not by lex'ed asura strike or dual client solo'ing to abuse farm and over capitalize onto the loots (that you cannot get or easily get from anywhere else) for just one or a few players. Of course, this is just my point of view and some may argue everyone has their own rights to capitalize valuable drops long as it is not against server rules, but I do recognize MVP solo farmer flooding MVP drops as a potential escalating issue that could deserve some attention (at least this has always been my years of RO experience in other private servers).
