Please Consider Implementing Gym Passes As Balanced Rewards For Playing the Game
Implement gym passes in a balanced manner as rewards for playing the game, but disable the skill in War of Emperium.
For example, perhaps every 10 levels after level 40 (from 40-90) you receive one character bound gym pass, which gives every character level 5 for free by the time they reach level 99. After that, doing certain long quest lines should reward one to encourage people to do this content.
This is just an example of one way it could be implemented, I am sure there are many more.
Gym passes are a nice thing to have in a PVE environment that allows people to level their characters and farm their items for longer without having to go back to a town. Low-str characters would also benefit from being able to carry more potions. It just offers a little less downtime.
However, they pose a problem in War of Emperium where they cause battles to just be a matter of who can spam potions faster. As the skill ID appears to be different from the Merchant skill, disabling the skill on WoE maps would work to address this balance issue.
