Assassin Job Change Bug - can butterfly wing whilst in quest - bad user state
During assassin job change quest, user can cancel the convo with the NPC that gives u the Necklace of Obvlion and then use the butterfly wing item, which teleports them back to last saved city. However, upon returning to the assassin job change quest location, they are unable to resume the job change quest. NPC Guildsman expects the Necklace of Oblivion from player. But player has yet to receive it yet.
So...totally my fault, but during the assassin job change quest, I was able to accidentally butterfly wing out. Upon returning to the assassin quest location, i was unable to access the same room i was in before. When i talk to the Guildsman NPC, he just tells me he expects the Necklace of Oblivion. However, I am unable to reach the NPC that was supposed to give it o me.
Steps to Reproduce
- Do assassin job quest up to point of the invisible maze
- Talk to maze NPC
- Cancel convo with maze NPC before receiving Necklace of Oblivion
- Use butterfly wing
- Return to assassin job quest location.
- Talk to guildsman NPC who expects me to have the Necklace of Oblivion
- No longer able to return to room with the invisible maze and unable to complete assassin job quest
Able to butterfly wing during the job quest. Did not receive Necklace of Oblivion and was unable to resume the assassin job quest afterwards.
Probably should not be able to butterfly wing within the job quest map. It allows the user to reach a bad state, that cannot be rectified by the user.
Or perhaps somehow allow the user to return to where they were last during the job change quest.
Or perhaps the flag that indicates completion of the quest should not be set until after the Necklace is given. Source: https://forums.warpportal.com/index.php?/topic/130060-didnt-receive-necklace-of-oblivion-when-changing-assassin/
after this happened, i tried to fly wing inside the map to hopefully be able to return to the maze. But I get the message "Unable to Teleport in this area". Butterfly wings should probably receive the same behaviour.
Not sure if this is specifically a Gitlab thing, but I really like the way you guys have ticket template format done.
