Display thumbnail images on remote control

This is a screen dump from the latest version of the remote control web page on my laptop but I have the same issue with the latest android app.

The remotes associated with 2.4.2 displayed images associated with each slide which was much more helpful. Why this backward step? or is this convoluted list of slide numbers unintentional?
In addition the Android app is woefully slow since moving to websocket instead of poll and I have to hit the slide forward button on the app to progress to the 2nd slide before the slide list to shows up on the live list display. Also at least the web remote shows the slide number the app just repeats the same #hash#.pdf so if the list extends past the bottom of the screen it is impossible to see which actual slide has been selected.
