Illumination/Diffuser problems
Two microscopes have been found to have torn diffusers which creates abberations on images. Some suggestions for the cause of this have been made already: * Prolonged exposure to UV * Sheer forces causing it to tear during assembly In one case, the microscope also had a completely shattered separator. This could also be caused by prolonged exposure to UV. Images have been attached below. ![diffuser.jpeg](/uploads/0d5ef63bebd4b8dc8b784767ff86eb2f/diffuser.jpeg){width=238 height=423} ![Image \(9\).jpg](/uploads/fd9fdb536c7820ce20637dee4a96e6eb/Image__9_.jpg){width=239 height=318} Potential points of discussion could be alternative materials instead of the polypropylene or a more reliable way of making the diffuser.
