Gearing - using lower gearing ratios for lower resolution optics
When using lower resolution optics, to move the stage faster, rather than using the standard 2:1 gears,1:1 or 1:1.25 gears can be used instead. Tests have been done with these new gearing ratios and there doesn't seem to be any missed stems as the positioning errors are comparable to the standard gears. A PDF of the analysis and STL's of the gears used in this analysis are attached below.
