Problems encountered in building a high resolution microscope.
Thanks for this great project!I often observe petrography in the laboratory and often use a microscope. I am very happy to see the open source Openflexure. It has always been my dream to assemble a microscope.
I'm building a high resolution microscope with reflection illumination, I printed everything I need and bought non-printting parts and then I start to build it.
When I assembled, I found two problems:
- The height of the objective is inappropriate;
- Cannot get usable photos, no matter how to move the sample stage (even directly bring the sample close to the objective lens)
I'am assembling for the first time, please help me, thank you!
Here are some parts I used:
- Printed parts:
- main_body_LS65-M-BS_brim.stl
- fl_cube.stl
- optics_picamera_2_rms_f50d13_beamsplitter.stl
- reflection_illuminator.stl
- Non-printed parts:
- 12.7mm diameter, 50mm focal length achromatic lens
- 40X/0.65 160/0.17 RMS threaded microscope objective (The objective lens was removed from the old microscope, but there is no information about it.)
- 50/50 splitter
- Raspberry pi camera V1
Here are some photos about my microscope.
