Recommended Case for Mobile Deployment
Basically, I want to have the openflexure mobile and ready to use in the field. Including USB powerbank, Controller (xbox), Lilliput Field Monitor etc. All wired up ready at the press of a button. I don't want to get it out of a case, plug cables in and place it ontop a case or something.
So I figure a tall, top-loading case would be ideal. A Pelican Case 1460 is a little bit on the larger side, but it also has a tall lid, so when I mount the microscope to the bottom of the case, the sample mount is fully accessible.
The Pelican Case 1440 is more compact, but doesn't have such a nice lid. You would have to reach down into the case to place your sample.
Anyways, the 1460 case costs about 230€ and with the extra equipment I end up with 500€ of extra cost not including the microscope. While I think that setup would be totally worth it, it stands in contrast to the cheap microscope itself.
So my question. Does anyone has a good idea for at least a cheaper case/box to start with? I guess it would be nice if we could have a recommended mobile setup for similar requirements as mentioned above.
